I was looking around on that site, about to upload images that I saved for the web. What I noticed was this requirement that said you couldn’t have watermarks on or borders around your images. I went on and uploaded an image. Right after that, I saw they needed to be approved. Right above the image, it showed the maximum size YOUR image could be if it were printed. That seemed to click with why they didn’t want borders or signatures. So they’re selling the images you upload too?
On the average, based on estimates from those in the professional photography industry, 1 image out of 100 is going to turn out absolutely perfect. If you fire off 200 shots during a shoot you’ll have a few that are outstanding. But more on that is that you’ll probably have 3-5 others that really stand out, while not matching the first few you chose. Is it realistic that you only have 10 awesome images from a shoot? The answer is “Yes”.
