Six months ago when I arrived back home from Shutterfest, I wrote a Cliff’s Notes version of what I got from that convention. I have done a lot since then and it appears to be a never ending process.
My web site has been almost completely redesigned. I have scaled back my galleries where they are less bloated and have selected a small portion of images to display. I removed a lot of good work but had to focus if you can imagine that. What I have up is what will remain. I can’t say that it’s all I’ll have up there but that’s how it is for the moment.
Years ago I had a few techniques I used for my work. I had stopped using them and have gone to learn others. While in St Louis, one instructor talked about how to use the same technique I had stopped using already. A few months ago I had some shoots where I went right back to it, and it worked. Since then I have stepped up my shooting styles even more and it is working out great.
I am currently trying to market for senior pictures and weddings, among other things. It seems to be where my knack is.
I hope to know more in the next 6 months or so. Right now, the leaves are turning and it’s time for fall pictures!
